Congratulations for choosing The Edifier Ramble series Speaker Systems.  It’s found one of the best personal multimedia speaker system that let you enjoy completely the revolution of computer multimedia, (and/ or Audio Equipment). Before operating the system, please read this manual thoroughly and retain it for future reference.

Getting started

Basic Operation

Step1. Connect the LINE IN PORT to the Audio source device.

Using one audio connecting cord (shown in figure 1), one end connecting to the LINE IN PORT (shown in figure 4, 4), the other end connecting to the Line-out of the Audio source device. Be sure to match the color (Red to Red, White to White).

Note:  For some audio source devices, which have only one Φ3.5mm phone jack, an optional audio connecting adapter( as shown in Figure 2) is needed. See below:

Step2. Connect the LINE OUT PORT to the audio playback equipment.

Using the other audio connecting cord (shown in figure 1), one end connecting to the LINE OUT PORT (shown in figure 4, 5), the other end connecting to the Line-in of the Audio playback equipment.

Step3. Connect the woofer with the power source using the power cable.

Make sure that the power cable is in good contact with the power input socket (shown in Figure 4,8) and the power source is AC 220V/50Hz.

DO NOT attempt to plug into 110V AC power socket, please refer to Technical  specification.

Step4. Turn on the power switch (shown in Figure 4,7), adjust the Volume Controller and High-cut Controller (as shown in Figure 4,2 and 3). High-cut Controller is used for adjusting the upper limit of the audio frequency. Make sure that the audio source device and audio playback equipment are powered on too.

Note: The audio signals are bypassed from the LINE IN PORT(Figure 4, 4) to the LINE OUT PORT(Figure 4, 5), no matter whether the Power Switch(Figure 4, 7) is on or not.

Mode 1: Working with an audio source device, an ordinary amplifier and speakers.

Mode 5: Working with an Integrated Audio System which has one extra audio Line-out port or woofer Line-out port

Mode 6: Working with an Integrated Audio System which has no Lineout port (in this case, you will need two speaker cables, which are not supplied in this package)

Safeguards

1.         To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose this unit to rain, moisture or direct sunlight .

2.         Do not attempt to plug the power into 110V socket, this unit does not support 110V power supply.

3.         Dangerous voltages exist inside the box, so do not remove the back base board.

4.         Enjoy your music at a safe volume level which is not to hurt your hearing or your audio system. Be careful that aged people, young children or patients are not present when the music is to be played at a high volume level.

5.         When the unit is not in use for a long time, be sure that the plug is taken out of the power socket.

6.         If the woofer has no output, check the power switch and power cable first. If the problem still exists, check the fuse after taking out the power plug. If the fuse is melted off, change it with the other one contained in the fuse box. In case this fuse is melted off again, contact with your dealer.
